How Facebook Changed The World

Facebook was founded 10 years ago by a man called Mark Zuckerberg and it became an instant hit all around the world. In October 2013 it was discovered that over 500 million people around the world use Facebook, we are now in 2014 and I expect there will now be at least 1 billion people on the site.

Mark Zuckerberg was 20 years old when he created Facebook which was 10 years ago. He was born May 14th 1984 in White Plains, New York, US. Mark is the second youngest self-made billionaire, with Facebook making him billions of dollars. There is still a big population in the world and there are more people likely to continue signing up for Facebook. This will continue for many years to come and Mark will no doubt become richer by the day.

Facebook is an online social media network that allows you to interact with friends or families. Not only is it good for young people but it’s good for the older population who have businesses as they can create pages to promote there company’s so it can attract new potential customer’s.

I use Facebook to talk to my friends, I can also play games and interact with people that way, there are some many things you

 can do on Facebook and you’ll never get bored. If you don’t already have page, I would recommend you get it because you’re missing out. I like football/Newcastle United and I organise coaches to away games and if it wasn’t for social media I wouldn’t be able to advertise. I create an event and invite people on my friends list to the event; I will tell them the information for example the price of the coach, I will explain where the coach picks up and drops off at and I tell them how much the tickets are.

Facebook is great for me and I don’t know anyone that doesn’t  have it, so join the bandwagon and sign up today.
